Finally, some thoughts on connecting two computers via MIDI for linking Live and Resolume: 1. Just use a MIDI cable. If you are using a MIDI controller on each computer, you likely have access to an input and output port on each one (keyboard, UC33, etc.). To connect Lemur to Ableton Live, the Lemur Daemon utility is used, this allows Lemur to connect to the virtual MIDI ports on the computer. Press Add, then double click on Daemon MIDI In (Step 1), the tablet in question will be displayed, select Lemur Out 0 and press connect ( Step 2).
I have finally started my AV project and I want to connect Ableton to Resolume and have a fully integrated show. I have no run into a problem using midi over ethernet.
The Pc runs Ableton and the Mac Resolume.

I have been able to connect the 2 computers via an ethernet cable and share files etc but I'm really stumped on getting the midi to communicate between the 2 applications.
I have been using Audio Midi Monitor on Mac and rtpMIDI on PC.
Both of the midi applications dont seem to be picking up the correct port.
Below are some screenshots so you can see what i mean.
The Pc Midi app is showing midi yoke as live routings.
and these are the routings i am getting from my Mac.
